Criteria for Eligibility
(1) Current high school or college students who will be attending college fulltime in the 2011-2012 academic year;
(2) Self-identified as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or Queer;
(3) Willing to attend the Pride Breakfast at Riverside Church, Sunday,
June 26, 2011, 9:00-10:30 a.m., when the award check will be presented. The winner (and, if desired, a guest) will be Maranatha’s guest at the Breakfast.
Travel and lodging funds are not available, but appropriate overnight accommodation at a Maranatha member’s home, and Sunday morning transportation to the church, can be arranged for a winner who does not live
nearby .
Membership or activity in a church or other faith-based organization is an asset, but not a requirement.
Riverside is a progressive, international, interracial, interdenominational church
affiliated with the United Church of Christ and the American Baptist Church.
Founded in 1979, Maranatha is the oldest continuously operating, church-
affiliated, LGBTQ organization in the United States.
