About

“As I See IT” , Integration of a new media Web 2.0 staregy, is not about jumping into the latest gadget on onto the latest “social” tool, but about incorporating these into our every day lives. As I See IT having 3000 friends as a business move, is irrelevant if no one buys your product or you do not have a shipping strategy or a product! This site was inspired and requested by friends and entrepreneurs who wanted simple honest answers, not hype.
How can I use this to design, make, promote, present, sell, create a legacy or establish my expertise.
As i See IT, technology is a tool to be adapted and used for the benefit of society. While technology gives us new options for executing existing cultural business practices and other lifestyle activities, many of these “new” protocols are actually existing practices within the culture of “Mom and pop” or local cottage industries! In that light any disconnect between the existing culture and those designing the web architecture and interfaces, will affect The usability of tools and services by these cultures!
I am constantly asked to explain things that relate to computers Internet and technology by people at the library, Internet cafe or friends of friends. We would love to post every day, however please understand that the demand offline has increased dramatically and preparing and structuring post may take a while so we suggest you subscribe for our latest updates!
Like many I study the Web 2.0 pundits, however most online “Experts” have little experience building a business model around ‘hard’ products, which left us with and understanding of new publishing tools but little advice as to how to customize and integrate them for our particular needs!
We have an Open policy and build our sites “live”, as an inspiration to others and to encourage feedback. This is actually very similar to the process used when we set up Boutiques! The interaction between the business and the potential customer is immediate! They will simply stop, come in and browse through boxes even start working.
This intimacy with the consumer is what sets the local boutiques apart! This what sets businesses in our niche apart. It is a bit unorthodox but I now have mothers and housewives building their own web presence and actively adapting technology in ways the “experts” would not believe!
