// February 23rd, 2010 // Comments // How to

There are so many tools out there that are under utilized. I recently decided to start creating examples of them in use Picassa is a photo tool wwith some really great features including teh ability to create a movie file from images! You can add an audio file though it does not tape audio! Essentially you will have to tape your narration and then upload it as an MP3. So i will have to test that on another occasion!

I’d suggest get a gmail account Gmail offers free tools through their Gmail accounts or Google apps for business Gmail Google Calendar Google Docs Google Sites

  • Calendar- when does product have to be ready? What/when are your industry or sector trade events. when do you need to get material to press?

How do I secure a my web site name!

Remember your to ensure you are not infringing on existing trademarks when choosing your name. if the dot com is not available rethink your choice!

Company Name, Domain name, web Host and email address.

If you are a non profit both google apps and Dreamhost offer  sponsored accounts!

When It comes to office or working  spaces a Real version of this Pop up office would be cool till then, consider a coworking space to cut cost!  I’d recommend New Work City with several membership plans and a coworking  visa (up to 3 complimentary, drop-in days at some spaces) when traveling ! Not sure they offer a virtual address

but

Sunshine Suites our current sponsor has a great offer till January 15th! This space also has a great ambiance! Visit http://tinyurl.com/yj37w2c

Embedded Waves Need To Be Made Public

// October 22nd, 2009 // Comments // Google Wave, How to, Presentation, input form, online tool, usability

As I like many, try to figure out Google Wave and more importantly how to effectively use it, one thing is clear, this Preview will be ineffective till a more wider distribution is achieved!

Yes the list of contacts grows daily but these are contacts from the tech world, and just pinging them to say ‘hey I’m testing wave does not seem ‘right”

To effectively test it means getting all the members of one meeting group and account! I tried the embed but you still need a Google wave account to access wave and that needs to be a public wave or they have to be added to the wave!

So here is a new wave testing several gadgets and robots
